Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Part Time


Conducts comprehensive history and physicals and provides consults for medical issues for patients admitted for treatment of psychiatric illness and/or substance abuse. Candidates will demonstrate high degree of clinical competency in the following:

  • Diagnosis of medical issues 
  • Management of medication regimens 
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and laboratory investigations 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive plan of care
  • Respond to and assist in any emergent or urgent care need with appropriate triage to tertiary level of care when indicated
  • Counsel patients and families and provides education with regard to medical illness as well as prevention strategies 
  • Demonstrate communication skills and works collaboratively 
  • Ability to practice autonomously with consultation with collaborating physicians as appropriate 


  • Masters prepared graduate of accredited APRN program; ANCC certification 
  • Current Massachusetts license, APRN, NP
  • At least 2 year of clinical experience in primary care or acute care setting required, 3 or more years preferred
