Seeking a Trauma
Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Coordinator to work in collaboration
with Trauma Medical Director (TMD) and the Trauma Program Manager (TPM) to
improve the quality of trauma care throughout the hospital areas that affect
injured patients. Coordinates and facilitates the trauma performance
improvement program including data collection, analysis, trending and
benchmarking of data and outcomes while maintaining confidentiality. Also
participates in trauma registry data collection; core elements include database
management, data validations, injury coding and scoring, statistical data
analysis; report design; supporting outreach, injury prevention and research
initiatives. Collaborates closely with trauma program leadership to
ensure compliance with the New York State Department of Health trauma
regulations, the American College of Surgeons’ standards, and the facility
standards related to Performance Improvement.
Education:
- Requires a BA/BS Degree Nursing,
BS Degree Physician Assistant is acceptable.
- Other clinicians will be
considered commensurate with experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of
position related experience defined as Emergency Department or Trauma
Surgery experience, Trauma Outreach experience, Trauma Program Manager
experience, Critical Care experience, Education/Clinical Educator,
Performance Improvement experience.
