Registered Nurse- RN Overnight up to $43.50/Hr

The Staff Nurse will possess comprehensive knowledge and understanding of substance abuse and mental health illnesses, enabling them to deliver treatment in accordance with professional care standards. This role entails physical capability to perform emergency procedures such as CPR and assisting patients with routine care. Additionally, the RN will conduct medical assessments, intake screenings, and implement physician's standing orders.


Essential Job Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:


Conduct pre-admission screenings (via telephone and on-site) for patients seeking admission.

Administer medication following physician orders.

Maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive patient charts, including nurse's notes, medication records, physician orders, and assessments.

Perform physical assessments on admitted patients in line with established standards.

Monitor patients for drug and alcohol withdrawal to prevent medical complications.

Evaluate and document medical issues promptly, reporting them to the Medical Director or on-call physician.

Adhere to infection control protocols and proper sharps disposal procedures.

Maintain a tidy and safe nurse's station in accordance with health and safety standards.

Participate in case reviews and ongoing training.

Stay informed and proficient in all relevant Gosnold procedures.

Abide by the Professional Staff Code of Ethics.

Conduct patient education sessions on addiction, health maintenance, and recovery topics.

Fulfill any other assigned duties.

Minimum Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Required:


Education: Certificate, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Experience: Two (2) years of nursing experience.

Skills: Proficiency in written and oral communication. Ability to implement physician's orders.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Current licensure as a registered nurse in Massachusetts. Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification within three (3) months of hire.
