We are
seeking a Locums Hematologic Oncologist with a specialization in gynecologic
malignancies to join our team in Hartford, CT. This position is available for
immediate placement, and we are looking for a physician to assist primarily
with pre-chemotherapy visits and surveillance visits in the office. While
surgical experience could be helpful, it is not a requirement for this role.
Responsibilities
include managing pre-chemotherapy and surveillance visits for patients with
gynecologic malignancies and providing chemotherapy and immunotherapy
treatments. You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure
comprehensive oncology care. The expected patient volume is 12-16 patients per
day in the office and 2-3 patients in surgery, if applicable.
The call
schedule includes 1-2 weeknight calls per week, typically phone-only (rarely
in-person), and weekend call coverage is 1 in 3 with flexible scheduling.
Requirements:
- Fellowship in
Gynecologic Oncology (Gyn Onc) or Medical Oncology (Med Onc) with
specialization in gynecologic malignancies.
- Proficiency in
chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.
- Active
Connecticut medical license or eligibility for the Interstate Medical
Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Board
Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology.
