Seeking a Nurse Manager of Wound Care
Services in Brooklyn NY to be responsible for leading the delivery of
comprehensive wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) services that
promote safety, healing, and high-quality outcomes. This role involves clinical
oversight, operational planning, and strategic coordination of patient-centered
wound care services. The Manager ensures compliance with hospital policies and
evidence-based practice standards while managing the department’s staff,
budget, and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct, coordinate, and evaluate
clinical operations of the Wound Care and HBO Department.
- Supervise and mentor wound care
staff to ensure safe, effective patient care.
- Participate in development and
implementation of department policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary
teams to provide individualized treatment plans.
- Oversee fiscal, material, and human
resource management for the department.
- Monitor performance improvement
initiatives and quality outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing
program; BSN required.
- Master’s degree in Nursing
preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical
experience in wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, including prior
supervisory experience.
- Current New York State Registered
Nurse (RN) license required.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Preferred (based on clinical area):
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS) – preferred for Pediatric, PICU, NICU
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program
(NRP) – preferred for L&D, MBU, NICU
- Specialty Certification: Board Certification as a Certified
Wound Specialist (CWS) or Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN)
required
