We are seeking an
experienced Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Physician to join a leading hospital
in Southern California. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a Level I
Trauma Center that provides advanced surgical care to a diverse patient
population while collaborating with a skilled, multidisciplinary team.
Compensation: $500,000
Position Details:
- Setting: Inpatient /
Hospital-based – Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Service
- Schedule: Flexible
schedule with 24-hour in-house call and rotating shifts, including
weekends and holidays as needed
- Shift Commitment: 11 shifts per
month
- Trauma Level: I (some
facilities may include Level I exposure)
- Coverage Type: Trauma,
Emergency General Surgery (EGS), and Surgical Critical Care
Responsibilities:
- Provide trauma resuscitation and
surgical management for emergent and urgent cases
- Perform emergency general surgery
procedures, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, bowel resection,
hernia repair, and other acute surgical interventions
- Manage critically ill and postoperative
patients in the ICU
- Collaborate with trauma, emergency
medicine, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and critical care teams to ensure
high-quality, coordinated patient care
- Participate in trauma performance
improvement programs and quality initiatives
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited
institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in
General Surgery
- Fellowship-trained in Surgical Critical
Care or Trauma Surgery
- Active California Medical License (or
ability to obtain)
- ATLS Certification
- BLS and ACLS Certifications
