Job Overview:
We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a temporary/seasonal position in Plymouth, MA. This role involves providing healthcare services to pediatric patients on weekends and weekdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct well-child exams, developmental screenings, and education for patients from birth through young adulthood.
- Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and communicate results to patients and families.
- Prescribe medications following organizational and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning.
- Promote health maintenance, disease prevention, and health promotion through patient education.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Utilize community resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
- American Nurses Association (ANA) certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner, or NCCPA Certification.
- Current Massachusetts Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license, or PA License.
- Current Massachusetts controlled substance and DEA licensure.
- Current CPR BLS certification.
- Minimum of two years of pediatric urgent care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience.
Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly rate: $50.00 - $75.00
