Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician to provide coverage in Cheyenne, WY. This position involves managing adult patients in a hospital setting and performing a range of cardiothoracic surgeries and related procedures.  The position requires 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, including weekends and on-call duties.  On-call coverage is required for this position. Callback rates are as follows: 5% for weekdays, weekends, ER, and ICU.  The caseload consists of 98% adult patients and 2% trauma cases, all within a hospital setting. On average, there are 2 hospital patients per day, with 2 admissions per week and 1 ICU case per day. The physician will perform approximately 2 surgeries per week.

Requirements:

·         Board Certified in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery

·         Current BLS and ACLS certifications

·         Active Wyoming state medical license

·         Experience with EPIC EMR system is required
