We have an immediate need for a full time Nocturnist to be part of our growing team! The individual (s) will provide supervision, consultation, and teaching to residents in the department of medicine and family practice. The incumbent will also provide medical consultation as necessary for surgery and Ob/Gyn residents provide emergency inpatient coverage of medical patients on the non-teaching medical and family practice service.
The Nocturnist will be working
with two other Nocturnists at night averaging five admissions per night by each
physician with a schedule of 7/7 on/off. The Hospitalist group provides
in-patient care 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Practice limited exclusively
to the inpatient primary care service (general floors and critical care areas).
Required:
- MD License required.
- Board eligible or board certified required; Internal Medicine highly preferred.
- Prior Family Practice sufficient in-patient experience to effectively carry out essential responsibilities required.
- Must possess excellent communication, critical care, and computer skills.
