Job Description: Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Clinician
Summary:
The PHP Clinician conducts intake interviews, assessments, and formulates diagnoses, providing recommendations for treatment. This role requires knowledge of addiction, mental illness, twelve-step recovery, and evidence-based practices.
Essential Duties:
- Develop, implement, and adjust treatment and care plans as needed.
- Conduct case management and prepare discharge summaries.
- Provide crisis management and on-call consultations as needed.
- Coordinate with external providers and referral sources.
- Maintain credentialing through continuing education and in-service training.
- Attend meetings, receive supervision, and participate in clinical reviews.
- Ensure compliance with third-party payers, including documentation and pre-certifications.
- Mentor interns and counselors and uphold ethical standards, including confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of supervised counseling experience, familiarity with EMRs, and tele-health platforms.Skills:
- Training in particular population areas is necessary for effective counseling and care management.
- Ability to interact and relate to persons in early recovery from addiction and chronic mental health concerns.
- Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Independent license (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT) preferred.
