Job Title: Director of Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Location: Plymouth or Falmouth, Massachusetts
Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Director to lead our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Plymouth or Falmouth, Massachusetts. This role requires a seasoned clinician with expertise in dual diagnosis and mental health disorder treatment within a partial hospital setting. The Director will play a key role in program management, staff supervision, patient care, and compliance while fostering a collaborative environment within a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities:
- Facilitate regular staff meetings and clinical rounds to support team communication and patient care quality.
- Supervise chart audits, oversee maintenance of patient records, and ensure documentation meets compliance standards.
- Manage and supervise clinical staff and graduate students, fostering professional development.
- To maintain direct patient care involvement, I carry a small caseload of 4-5 patients, depending on the census.
- Conduct patient assessments, provide diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, case management, and coordinate discharge planning.
- Perform utilization reviews and work closely with insurance providers to meet coverage requirements.
- Lead therapy groups focused on mental health and substance use disorders to enhance patient engagement and recovery.
- Ensure program compliance with standards set by accrediting agencies such as the Joint Commission and the Department of Public Health.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and determine appropriate levels of care for each patient.
- Handle administrative and clinical duties to support program operations and growth.
- Adapt to a fast-paced setting and address crises independently as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support program success.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Yes – This position includes direct supervision of clinical staff and graduate students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience within an addiction, mental health treatment program, PHP, or group counseling setting. Supervisory experience of 1-2 years is required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Licensure: LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC licensure in Massachusetts is required.
