Locums Gastroenterology Physician

We are seeking a Locums Gastroenterology Physician to join a dedicated team providing high-quality care in Midland, MI. This position offers a dynamic role in both clinic and hospital settings, managing a mix of outpatient clinic patients, inpatient consults, and weekend call coverage. The ideal candidate will have experience in bread-and-butter gastroenterology procedures and must be skilled in performing Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).  The schedule includes Monday through Friday clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend call coverage begins at 5:00 PM on Friday and concludes at 8:00 AM on Monday. This setup ensures a balanced mix of clinical and procedural responsibilities.  In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload, including 12-18 outpatient clinic patients daily and 4-8 inpatient consults or rounds per day. You will also perform various endoscopic procedures, with in-house anesthesia support available 24/7. Weekend call responsibilities include managing both clinic and hospital patients as needed.

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Active Michigan medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Minimum of one year of active practice experience as a Gastroenterologist.
• Expertise in performing EUS is required.
