Locums Maternal Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maternal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (APRN, Nurse Midwife) or Physician Assistant to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. This locum tenens position involves providing high-quality care in an inpatient labor and delivery setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in maternal medicine and be comfortable rotating between day and night shifts.

This position requires shift coverage on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week, with shift times from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Candidates should have experience using Epic EMR (preferred) and must possess advanced clinical skills to provide comprehensive care to labor and delivery patients. There is also an opportunity for a temp-to-hire arrangement for the right candidate.
In this role, the Maternal Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide advanced care and management for patients in labor and delivery, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing care plans, and performing necessary procedures as appropriate. The provider will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Other duties include utilizing the Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management, participating in rotating day and night shifts, and contributing to the delivery of compassionate and high-quality patient care.

 Qualifications:

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Nurse Midwife, or Physician Assistant licensure in the state of Connecticut.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maternal medicine, with expertise in inpatient labor and delivery.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
