Lead Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide expert clinical care while mentoring providers and non-provider clinic staff.

Position Overview: The Lead Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will deliver high-quality patient care while serving as a clinical leader within the urgent care center. This role requires strong leadership abilities, advanced clinical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The schedule consists of 2-3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts, 8 AM - 8 PM), including some weekends. Candidates considering relocation to Pittsfield are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality urgent care services, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Lead and mentor clinical staff, fostering professional growth and development.
• Ensure compliance with evidence-based protocols and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to optimize patient care.
• Provide proactive leadership and communicate effectively with staff and patients.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records following best practices and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Current Massachusetts licensure as an NP or PA.
• DEA license with no restrictions.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (CPR and ACLS certifications not accepted).
• Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or an ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support clinical staff.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solver with confidence in professional decision-making.
