The Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based health care to pulmonary patients in collaboration with a physician. This role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with pulmonary conditions, ensuring optimal patient care and management.

Compensation:
$132,756 - $199,134 annual salary (bonus eligible) & benefits package
Key
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical services using evidence-based practice standards in accordance with physician collaboration and established protocols.
- Independently perform physical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and specialized risk assessments for a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including high-risk and crisis situations.
- Obtain comprehensive patient health histories and conduct thorough physical examinations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and diagnose pulmonary health conditions.
- Develop, document, and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and other appropriate treatments in alignment with best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve treatment effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of California.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pulmonary, Acute Care, Family, or Adult-Gerontology).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an NP, preferably in pulmonary medicine, critical care, or related specialties.
- Strong background in managing chronic pulmonary conditions such as COPD, asthma, and interstitial lung diseases.
- Proficiency in conducting and interpreting pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic assessments.
- Excellent clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
