Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. 

Position Details:

• Shifts per Month: 5–6 (flexible scheduling)
• Shift Length: 8–12 hours, depending on facility needs
• Setting: Busy Emergency Department
• Supervision: Collaborative environment with attending Emergency Medicine physicians 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department
• Perform physical exams, order diagnostic tests, interpret results, and initiate treatment plans
• Manage urgent and emergent conditions within scope of practice
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to ensure quality patient care 

ED Features:

·         67,000 annual patient visits

·          44-bed recently renovated ED with fast track

·          Level II Trauma Center

·          Flexible scheduling - 11 hour shifts Dedicated pediatric ED Critical care sub-specialty support

·          1.45 patients per hour

·         shifts are  7am-7pm, 7pm-7am

·         Providers expected to take shifts at affiliated FSED’s in the area as well. 

Qualifications:

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP-C/FNP/ENP)
• Emergency Medicine experience required
• Active Florida license
• DEA license required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications preferred
