We are
seeking an experienced Locums Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse
Practitioner to provide night shift coverage at a busy Level II Trauma Center
in Redding, California. This role is ideal for an APP comfortable working
autonomously in high-acuity trauma and emergency situations.

Duties
& Scope of Practice
- Provide care for trauma and
surgical patients in inpatient and emergency settings.
- Perform required low-to-high risk
procedures:
- Low/Moderate Risk Procedures:
– Laceration repair
– IV access/insertion (peripheral line)
– Fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement) - High Risk Procedures:
– Gastrostomy tube placement
– Endotracheal intubation
– Cardioversion/defibrillation
– Laryngeal mask airway (LMA) placement
– Paracentesis
– Chest tube placement
– Central and arterial line placement
Requirements
- Certification: NCCPA (PA) or ANCC
(NP) Certified
- Licensure: Active California
License
- Certifications Required:
– ACLS
– ATLS
– DEA
