We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Woodbridge, CT. The Front Desk Receptionist plays a critical role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring efficient front desk operations.
Compensation:
Full-time; $21.00 - $23.00 per hour plus benefits package
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients with a warm and friendly demeanor as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Assist in scheduling patient appointments, making reminder calls, and rescheduling as necessary.
- Accurately collect and input patient information into the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Verify patient insurance information, collect co-payments, and address billing inquiries.
- Manage incoming phone calls professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage the patient flow in the waiting area to minimize wait times and maintain an organized front desk area.
- Assist healthcare providers and medical staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Perform medical assistant duties such as taking patient vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with minor procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Front Desk Receptionist in a medical setting is preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
