As a Hospitalist, you will be responsible for managing acute medical care needs through the entire continuum—from pre-admission testing to inpatient and post-operative care—while working closely with surgical and specialty teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct inpatient care and manage complex medical cases
  • Oversee patients throughout the continuum of care: pre-admission, inpatient, and post-op
  • Collaborate with surgical, specialty, and nursing teams to ensure high-quality care
  • Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
  • Document and communicate effectively using the electronic medical record system

Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of North Carolina
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Demonstrated experience in hospital medicine, including care coordination and acute case management
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to make timely, critical decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and basic computer skills
