Locums Oncologist - Hematologic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a strong background in hematology-oncology for a locum tenens opportunity in Waterford, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a variety of hematologic conditions, including benign hematology cases independently.

 

Position Overview:

 

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Weekends/Holidays: No weekend or holiday shifts
  • Setting: Outpatient hematology-oncology clinic

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
  • Independently manage benign hematology cases
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately and timely
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Connecticut
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hematology-oncology
  • Certifications: Current BLS certification required
  • Skills: Ability to manage benign hematology cases independently is strongly preferred
