Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage at a hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role involves 24-hour call shifts providing surgical coverage across a Trauma Level III facility.

Key Details:

• Start Dates Needed:
• June 21, 22, 27, 28, 29
• July 21–27
• Shift Schedule:
• 24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage included in call rotation
• Practice Setting:
• Inpatient and hospital-based, including rounding and surgical procedures
• Case Volume:
• 2–3 cases per day
• Patient Population:
• Adults, ages 25+
• Trauma Level:
• Level III Trauma Center
• Operating Rooms:
• 3 dedicated Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery ORs
• EMR System:
• Cupid 

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Florida Medical License – Required
• ACLS & BLS Certification – Required
• Comfortable managing a broad range of cardiothoracic conditions in an on-call setting
• Must be available for the full range of requested dates
