Pediatric Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Full Time

We are seeking a compassionate, pediatric-trained Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated behavioral health team in Reading, PA. This full-time opportunity offers a balanced 4-day work week—three days from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and one extended day from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM—providing both work-life balance and continuity of care for patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and ongoing medication management for children and adolescents.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, pediatricians, and support staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Engage in care coordination with families, schools, and other healthcare providers when appropriate.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary of $165,000 – $175,000, based on experience.

Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), with pediatric experience or certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in child/adolescent psychiatry (new grads with strong pediatric backgrounds may be considered).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
