Nurse Practitioner – Nephrology Focus

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Cerritos, California. This full-time position offers a regular weekday schedule and requires the flexibility to travel to nearby clinics as needed for business purposes. The ideal candidate will have experience or certification in nephrology, along with a strong background in caring for adult and geriatric patients in Primary Care or Internal Medicine settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized and general health care to adult and elderly patients, with a focus on nephrology
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and manage chronic diseases
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications and therapies
• Educate patients and families about kidney disease management, prevention, and wellness
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver coordinated patient care
• Accurately and promptly document patient encounters in the electronic medical record
• Travel to other clinic locations as required

Required Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, or a combination of education and experience that meets role requirements
• Current, unrestricted RN and NP license in the State of California
• Active Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (AANP or ANCC)
• Certification in nephrology or minimum 1 year of experience in nephrology practice

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience working in Primary Care or Internal Medicine settings
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range: $140,000 – $190,000, commensurate with experience
• Bonus eligible
