Remote Geriatric Physician

Part Time

We are seeking a Board-Certified Geriatrician with deep experience in dementia care to join our team in a part-time, remote contractor role. This position supports dementia-related diagnostic and management services through virtual consults, helping expand access to high-quality cognitive care for older adults across Texas.

Location: Remote (Texas license required)

Schedule: 5–10 hours/week

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, Contractor (1099)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct remote diagnostic and consultative evaluations for older adults with suspected or diagnosed dementia
  • Provide expert input on complex or high-acuity dementia cases, including diagnostic clarification, behavior management, and advanced care planning
  • Advise and collaborate with ARNPs, MDs, and interdisciplinary teams (NPs, social workers, care navigators)
  • Offer clinical oversight on challenging geriatric issues, including comorbidities and polypharmacy
  • Support care coordination and care transitions, especially in value-based or risk-based care models
  • Ensure adherence to clinical regulations and standards across state lines

Requirements:

  • MD or DO with Board Certification in Geriatrics
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience caring for older adults, ideally with a focus on dementia
  • Unrestricted Texas medical license
  • Experience with telemedicine-based care or remote consults
  • Strong communication, clinical documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Deep understanding of dementia-related regulatory requirements, cognitive tools, and behavioral management
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with virtual care teams
  • Familiarity with value-based care, managed care models, or risk-based contracts is a plus
