Clinical Nurse Manager, Pediatrics

Seeking a Clinical Pediatric Nurse Manager in Brooklyn NY to play a vital leadership role in coordinating the delivery of high-quality care to pediatric residents and patients. This position is responsible for developing and implementing unit-specific policies and procedures, fostering a supportive and collaborative care environment, and maintaining day-to-day operational excellence in partnership with staff and the interdisciplinary team. The Nurse Manager is accountable for ensuring clinical competency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the pediatric unit.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the daily operations of the pediatric unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care.
  • Coordinate nursing care and manage staffing, scheduling, and performance oversight for nursing personnel.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to meet the complex needs of pediatric patients.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures specific to pediatric care delivery.
  • Support continuous staff education, clinical development, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, infection control, and safety standards.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff while promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program – required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – required
  • Pediatric experience in an acute or long-term care setting – preferred
  • Previous experience as a Nurse Manager or in a supervisory role – preferred
  • Ventilator care experience – preferred
  • Current New York State RN license – required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – preferred
