A
reputable community-based outpatient cancer center in Worcester, MA is seeking
a Radiation Oncologist (MD/DO) for a 6-month locums assignment with the option
to extend. This opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no
call responsibilities in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with
cancer requiring radiation therapy
- Perform and manage SBRT, IMRT, and
3D radiation treatments
- See an average of 15–20 patients on
treatment daily, with 5 new patient consultations per week
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary
oncology team to deliver comprehensive cancer care
- Participate in treatment planning
and review with dosimetrists and physicists
- Complete thorough documentation in
the EMR system
- Attend virtual interviews and
onboarding via Webex or Teams
Schedule
& Coverage Details:
- Monday to Friday
- No nights, weekends, or call
- Outpatient only – community-based hospital setting
Requirements:
- MD or DO with completion of an
accredited Radiation Oncology residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in
Radiation Oncology
- Active DEA license (or ability to
obtain prior to start)
- Experience with SBRT, IMRT, and 3D
treatments required
- No brachytherapy experience
necessary
- Strong interpersonal and
communication skills
- Massachusetts medical license (or ability to obtain)
