Seeking a Director of Behavioral Health Quality Assurance in Brooklyn, NY. The Director of Behavioral Health Quality Assurance is responsible for the strategic oversight, development, and implementation of quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and risk management activities across all behavioral health services. This leadership role ensures the consistent delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care through robust quality assurance systems, incident management (including NIMRS), and performance improvement initiatives.
This position serves as a key advisor to leadership on clinical quality, regulatory readiness, and evidence-based practice, and leads efforts to track, evaluate, and enhance clinical outcomes through data-driven methodologies.
Compensation: $130,000.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, execution, and continuous refinement of behavioral health quality improvement and risk management programs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including OMH, The Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements.
- Oversee timely and accurate incident reporting through NIMRS and other tracking systems; lead incident investigations and corrective action planning.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics and dashboards to evaluate program effectiveness and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support staff education, policy development, and clinical process improvements.
- Provide consultation and training on quality improvement principles and regulatory standards to leadership and staff.
- Act as a liaison with external regulatory agencies and participate in audits and surveys.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout behavioral health services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field – required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in behavioral health quality improvement – required.
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within a healthcare quality or behavioral health setting – required.
- RN, LCSW, LMFT, or other relevant clinical licensure – preferred.
- Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) – strongly preferred.
