We are
seeking a Board-Certified Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to provide night
shift ICU coverage in a high-acuity, collaborative setting. The position offers
the opportunity to work in an 18-bed open ICU, managing a diverse patient
population including post-operative cardiovascular and general critical care
patients. This Level III trauma center requires a provider comfortable with a
broad scope of ICU and critical care medicine, including management of
open-heart surgery patients.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor ICU patients
overnight
- Perform admissions and consults
in collaboration with the hospital medicine team
- Round multiple times per shift
with nursing and surgical staff
- Write daily progress notes and
initiate/enter patient orders
- Interpret lab and imaging results
and act upon them
- Coordinate patient transfers as
clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with Tele-ICU
physicians during the night for additional support
- ICU Beds: 18-bed open unit
- Trauma Level: Level III
- Support: Tele-ICU physicians
available overnight
- Collaborative Team: Works closely
with hospitalists, surgeons, and nursing staff
- Patient Mix: Post-op
cardiovascular, critically ill, and general ICU patients
Requirements:
- Certified Registered Nurse
Practitioner (CRNP)
- Board Certification in Critical
Care Medicine (preferred)
- Active Maryland license or eligible
via IMLC
- DEA license and Maryland CSR
- Current ACLS & BLS
certifications
- Prior experience in ICU or
critical care setting strongly preferred
