We are
seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum
urgent care coverage in Martinsville, VA. The ideal provider will deliver
high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages, treating a wide range
of non-emergent illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Provide episodic and urgent care to
adolescent, adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
- Diagnose and treat common
illnesses and minor injuries
- Perform procedures such as wound
care, splinting, and laceration repair
- Collaborate with clinical support
staff and follow evidence-based practice guidelines
- Accurately document patient care
in the electronic medical record
- Participate in a rotating weekend
schedule
Clinical
Setting:
- Shift Schedule: Minimum of
3x12-hour shifts per week (including rotating weekends)
- Patient Population: All ages –
Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric
- Procedures: Injury treatment,
episodic care
Requirements:
- Board Certified Nurse
Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active Virginia license

- DEA (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of urgent
care or emergency medicine experience preferred
- Comfortable working independently in a high-volume setting
