Job Title: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Locum Tenens
Location: Bedford, MA
Schedule: Part-Time – 20 Hours/Week
Program: PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment)

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide part-time locum coverage for our PACT team based in Bedford, Massachusetts. This is a 20-hour-per-week role with flexible scheduling. Most client interactions will occur in-office, but occasional community-based visits are encouraged and supported, especially for individuals who may be difficult to engage in a traditional outpatient setting.

About the PACT Program:
PACT is an evidence-based, multidisciplinary service delivery model designed to provide comprehensive, community-based psychiatric treatment, rehabilitation, and support to persons with serious and persistent mental illness. Our team includes clinicians, case managers, nurses, and peer support staff who work collaboratively to meet the holistic needs of the individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication assessments, and ongoing follow-ups.

  • Provide psychopharmacological treatment and monitor therapeutic response.

  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

  • Participate in team meetings and case reviews.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.

  • Engage in community-based visits as clinically appropriate to increase access and continuity of care.

  • Provide crisis intervention support when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

  • Active and unrestricted license to practice in Massachusetts

  • DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (or willingness to obtain)

  • Previous experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, preferably in community mental health or a PACT setting

  • Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Flexibility, creativity, and a person-centered, recovery-oriented approach
