Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-quality care in a comprehensive medical facility located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This hospital offers a full range of advanced services and technology, supporting a diverse patient population with 24-hour emergency care and specialized services.

Assignment Details:

• Shift Type: 24-hour coverage in a busy Emergency Department
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based, Level III NICU, full surgical and specialty support
• Case Mix: Broad range of emergency cases, including adult and pediatric patients 

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages
• Perform patient evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment in a fast-paced setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgery, radiology, cardiology, and intensive care units
• Utilize hospital resources, including advanced imaging and specialty services, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Admit, stabilize, and manage critical cases, including trauma, cardiac, and neurological emergencies
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters

• Cardiac services: Catheterization lab, EKG, coronary interventions, electrophysiology studies, and pacemaker/defibrillator implants
• Radiology and imaging: X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, CT, MRI, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine
• Therapy services: Physical, occupational, and speech therapy for children and adults
• Behavioral health: Inpatient psychiatric care and crisis intervention

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active Virginia medical license or IMLC eligible
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• DEA license
