Locums OBGYN Physician

We are seeking a Locums OBGYN Physician to provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care in Terre Haute, Indiana. This position offers a vital opportunity to support a busy hospital by ensuring 24/7 OB emergency room call coverage.

Assignment Details:

• Coverage Type: Call Coverage – 24/7
• Schedule: Flexible ongoing coverage needs
• Patient Volume: Average of 3 patients per shift
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based
• EMR: Meditech 

Responsibilities:

• Provide 24/7 obstetric ER call coverage as required by the facility’s maternal level designation
• Manage vaginal and C-section deliveries independently
• Perform and manage urgent and emergent GYN surgical cases
• Collaborate with hospital teams, nursing staff, and anesthesiology for coordinated patient care
• Provide timely consults and guidance for OB emergencies and complex cases
• Ensure thorough documentation in the Meditech EMR system 

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology – required
• Active Indiana medical license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to independently handle OB emergencies and surgical cases
