We are
seeking a Locums Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
to join a busy practice in Waterford, Connecticut. This role will focus on
managing an existing patient base while a provider is on FMLA. The ideal
candidate will have experience in both benign hematology and oncology, with the
ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary
team.
Compensation: $100 Per Hour
Position
Details:
- Setting: Primarily
outpatient, with the potential for some inpatient work depending on
provider experience and preference
- Schedule: Monday –
Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (negotiable)
- On-Call: Every 3rd
weekend and 1 weekday per week (ideally for MD coverage)
- Patient Care Focus:
- Manage follow-up oncology visits
- Perform chemotherapy education for
patients
- Serve as a clinical resource for
urgent needs within the onsite infusion center
- Bone marrow biopsies performed in-office
Requirements:
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician
Assistant (PA) license
- Experience in hematology/oncology
strongly preferred
- DEA license
