Dietary Supervisor

Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor, Dietary to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will oversee and coordinate dietary staff, ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards (HACCP), and support high-quality food service operations for patients, staff, and visitors.

 

Compensation:  $64,350.00-$68,000.00

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise and evaluate dietary staff, including cooks, pantry, pot room, cafeteria, and salad room personnel.
  • Prepare daily assignments and manage staffing schedules, including overtime and sick calls.
  • Train lead dietary staff and participate in performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor tray preparation, portion control, dish room operations, and sanitation compliance.
  • Ensure temperatures and chemical concentrations are within standards; take corrective actions as needed.
  • Support cafeteria operations in the absence of the Cafeteria/Catering Manager.
  • Perform additional duties to maintain efficient operations and patient welfare.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent (AAS or BS preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year as a Food Service Supervisor, or 2 years as lead dietary staff preferred.
  • Completion of 90–120 hour Dietary Managers’ course or equivalent preferred.
  • ServSafe certification preferred within the first year.
