We are seeking a Benefits Analyst to join
our Human Resources team in Brooklyn, New York. This role is responsible for
managing and administering employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with
federal and state regulations, and serving as the primary contact for benefits
inquiries and issue resolution.
Compensation: $33.33 Per Hour
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage employee
benefits programs, including health, vision, dental, and retirement plans
(403B).
- Handle benefits inquiries and
complaints to ensure timely and courteous resolution.
- Act as a liaison between employees,
insurance providers, and investment brokers.
- Ensure company compliance with
Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 and Affordable Care Act.
- Supervise the preparation of reports
and filings required by agencies such as the IRS, Department of Labor, and
insurance commissioners.
- Stay current on changes to state and
federal benefits regulations and recommend necessary updates to
management.
- Manage enrollment and claims
records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Conduct benefits orientations,
employee meetings, and support open enrollment processes.
- Install new or updated benefits
plans and prepare communication materials for employees.
- Assist HR in determining appropriate
benefits and compensation packages for new employees.
- Evaluate and compare benefits plans
to remain competitive in the marketplace.
- Negotiate with insurance carriers to
secure optimal benefits for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human
Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in
Human Resources or Benefits, preferably in a healthcare or hospital
setting.
- Strong knowledge of employee
benefits administration and compliance regulations.
- Excellent communication, analytical,
and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with benefits systems
and reporting tools.
