We are seeking a Locums
Psychiatry Physician to provide part-time psychiatric care in San Jose, CA.
This role involves performing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing
medication management for developmentally disabled patients with co-occurring
mental health disorders. The ideal candidate will be compassionate,
detail-oriented, and experienced in both adult and/or child psychiatry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and
ongoing medication management for referred patients.
- Provide specialized psychiatric and
medical services, including prescribing and monitoring controlled
substances.
- Develop individualized treatment plans
and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive
patient care.
- Deliver qualified, reimbursable services
under Medicare, Medi-Cal, Regional Centers, County Mental Health, and
other funding sources.
- Maintain timely and accurate medical
documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Participate in quality assurance and
case review meetings as needed.
Requirements:
- Active California Medical License
(required).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult and/or Child
Psychiatry (Certification must be obtained within 5 years of residency).
- Eligible for Medicare/Medi-Cal
certification.
- Authorized to prescribe controlled
substances.
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccination required,
or approved medical/religious exemption.
