Locums Psychiatry Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Locums Psychiatry Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide temporary inpatient coverage in Norwich, Connecticut. This locum tenens position focuses on treating adult patients within an inpatient mental health and substance abuse program.

Compensation: $110 Per Hour

Position Details:

• Setting: Inpatient – Adult Mental Health & Substance Abuse
• Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day shift only
• Call Coverage: Required as part of the assignment
• Patient Load: Inpatient caseload of adults requiring psychiatric and substance abuse treatment

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up assessments for adult inpatient mental health and substance abuse patients
• Manage medications, develop treatment plans, and monitor clinical progress
• Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and other team members
• Provide crisis intervention and support
• Participate in call rotation as assigned

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut PA or NP license
• Board Certification as a PMHNP, or PA with demonstrated psychiatric experience
• Experience in adult mental health and substance abuse treatment preferred
• Current BLS certification
