We are seeking a skilled Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (ACS)
Surgeon to join our dynamic surgical team in El Paso, Texas. This is a composite
position with coverage split between a Level II Trauma Center and a Level III
Trauma Center, offering a diverse clinical experience and excellent
professional support.
Position Overview
- Shifts:
9-14 shifts per month
- Trauma
Levels: Level II and Level III centers
- Compensation:
- $3,000
per Level II shift
- $2,000
per Level III shift
Responsibilities
- Provide
trauma and acute care surgical services in both Level II and Level III
settings.
- Manage
emergent surgical cases, trauma evaluations, and inpatient surgical care.
- Collaborate
with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, critical care,
and surgical subspecialists.
- Supervise
and work alongside APPs (Advanced Practice Providers).
- Participate
in teaching opportunities with medical students.
- Maintain
accurate clinical documentation and uphold hospital standards and
protocols.
Requirements
- MD
or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board
Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery; fellowship in Surgical
Critical Care or Trauma/ACS preferred.
- Current
or recent experience in a Level II Trauma Center is required.
- Texas medical licensure.
