We are seeking a Locums
Cardiovascular Surgery Physician to provide overnight and weekend
hospital-based cardiovascular surgery coverage in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. This
role involves comprehensive vascular and cardiovascular surgical care for adult
and geriatric patients in a Level II trauma center with strong OR resources and
clinical support.
Assignment Details:

Approximately 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend Coverage:
2–3 weekends per month
- On-Call Requirements:
24-hour cardiovascular surgery call during scheduled nights and weekends

Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide cardiovascular and vascular
surgery call coverage
- Perform inpatient evaluations,
consultations, and rounding
- Manage emergent and urgent
cardiovascular and vascular surgical cases
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
including anesthesia, ICU, and nursing staff
Required Procedures &
Surgical Expertise:
- Aneurysm repair
- Carotid artery endarterectomy (CEA) and
carotid stenting
- Femoral bypass surgery
- Fistula creation and management
- Endovascular and open reconstruction for
deep vein occlusions
- Endovascular therapy for peripheral
artery disease (PAD)
- Treatment of gangrene of the limbs
- Management of vascular malformations,
Nutcracker syndrome, and lymphedema
- Treatment of venous wounds and varicose
veins
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Vascular Surgery
- Completion of an accredited Vascular
Surgery Fellowship
- Active Pennsylvania medical license (or
willingness to obtain)
- BLS and ACLS certification
