Locums Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Level III Emergency Department in Lansing, MI. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working alongside a collaborative care team to provide quality emergency care to patients of all ages.

Position Details:

• Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Patient Volume: Approximately 110 patients per day, divided among providers
• Setting: Level III Emergency Department

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients with urgent and emergent conditions.
• Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Manage acute and complex medical conditions in a fast-paced ED setting.
• Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Certifications:
• ACLS (American Heart Association) – Required
• ATLS – Required
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Licenses:
• Active Michigan State License – Required
• Current DEA License
