• Setting: Free-standing Emergency Department
• Annual ED Volume: ~9,000 visits
• Average Daily Volume: ~30 patients
• ED Beds: 20
• Admissions from ED: ~70% of total hospital admissions
• ED Admission Rate: ~1%
• ED Transfer Rate: ~1%
• EMR: Cerner

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients of varying acuity.
• Perform emergency procedures consistent with training and scope of practice.
• Stabilize and manage patients requiring admission or transfer.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and consulting providers as needed.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using Cerner EMR.

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
• Active Michigan medical license
• BLS certification required
