Locums Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician to provide weekend call and clinical coverage in Richmond, Virginia. This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative care in a high-acuity, collaborative practice setting.

Position Details:

• Schedule:
• Weekend Call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 8:00 AM
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:15 PM
• Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic and inpatient coverage
• Average Patient Volume: Approximately 27 scheduled patients per day

Clinical Scope & Required Skill Sets:

• High-risk obstetric care, including management of:
• Pre-eclampsia and hypertension
• Multiple gestations
• Fetal growth restriction
• Preterm labor
• Thrombophilia and genetic disorders
• Chromosomal and congenital abnormalities
• Maternal and fetal co-morbidities
• Procedures include:
• Amniocentesis
• Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)
• Cerclage (preferred)
• Vaginal and cesarean deliveries

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Completion of an accredited MFM fellowship
• Active Virginia medical license
• BLS certification
• AIUM certification preferred
