Locums Urology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums Urology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide inpatient urology coverage at a hospital-based practice in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP with urology experience who is looking for a flexible, weekday-only schedule with no call or weekend requirements.

 

Compensation:  $110 Per Hour

 

Schedule & Shifts

 

• Shift options include:
• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Variable daytime hours
• No weekend coverage
• No on-call requirements

 

Practice Setting

 

• Hospital-based inpatient urology service
• Average census: 6–8 inpatients per day
• EMR: Meditech
• Collaborative team environment with multiple urologists

 

Responsibilities

 

• Provide inpatient urology care and daily rounding
• Manage general urology conditions and post-operative patients
• Assist with and coordinate inpatient urology surgeries as needed
• Collaborate closely with attending urologists and multidisciplinary teams
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EMR
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care

 

Qualifications

 

• Nurse Practitioner (AANP) or Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification
• Active Massachusetts license
• BLS certification required
• Prior urology or inpatient experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
