Locums Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Thoracic Surgery team on a locum tenens basis in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This role supports a high-volume thoracic service with a strong emphasis on minimally invasive and robotic procedures.

 

Compensation:  $120 Per Hour

 

Position Details

 

• Specialty: Thoracic Surgery (Non-Cardiac)
• Schedule: 3–4 days per week
• Shift Length: 10-hour shifts
• Call: Unlikely to be required
• Setting: OR, inpatient, and outpatient clinic

 

Responsibilities

 

• First assist in the operating room, including robotic-assisted cases
• Manage inpatient care, including rounding, admissions, and discharges
• See and manage office/clinic patients
• Collaborate closely with thoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams

 

Case Mix

 

• Predominantly minimally invasive thoracic procedures
• Lung surgery with some foregut surgery

 

Requirements

 

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Thoracic surgery experience (non-cardiac) required
• Robotic surgery experience required
• Comfortable across OR, inpatient, and outpatient settings
• Flu vaccination required
