Locums Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient orthopedic trauma support at a Level I Trauma Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced orthopedic APP to work weekday daytime hours in a high-acuity, well-supported trauma environment.

Compnesation:  $160 Per Hour

 

Position Details

 

• Practice Setting: Inpatient – Level I Trauma Center
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• On-Call Requirements: None
• Weekend Requirements: None

 

Clinical Responsibilities

 

• Perform orthopedic consults
• Conduct daily rounding on inpatient orthopedic patients
• Complete history and physicals (H&Ps)
• First assist in the OR as needed (not guaranteed)
• Provide general clinical support to the orthopedic surgeon on call
• Collaborate with trauma, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams

• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric

 

Requirements

 

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• AANP or ANCC certification (NP) and/or NCCPA certification (PA)
• Clean NPDB history
• Active Colorado license (NP or PA) or Compact RN license (for NP)
• BLS certification required
• DEA registration
