Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Lansing, MI. This is a hospital-based position providing 24-hour call coverage with a preference for weekend coverage.

Schedule & Call Details

• Shift Type: 24-Hour Call
• Preferred Schedule: Friday evening through Monday morning
• Additional Coverage: 1 week of call per month
• Call Ratio: Open to discussion
• Average Volume: Approximately 1 case per weekend

Clinical Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive adult cardiothoracic surgical coverage, including:

• Adult Cardiac Surgery
• General Thoracic Surgery
• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Heart Valve Repair and Replacement
• Tube Thoracostomy
• Pericardial Window
• Thoracotomy (Lung Biopsy, Lung Resection, Pneumonectomy)
• Thoracotomy Decortication
• Mediastinal Surgery

The physician will provide consults, surgical management, and inpatient care as required during call coverage.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Michigan Medical License
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience in adult cardiac and thoracic procedures
