Locums Hospitalist Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums Hospitalist NP/PA to provide night shift coverage in Rochester, NH. This is a low-volume, well-supported role ideal for providers comfortable working independently overnight with physician backup available by phone. The position offers a manageable patient load and a collaborative care environment.

Schedule

• Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Shifts/Month: 8–10 shifts per month

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based setting
• Open ICU (5 beds) with strong support structure
• No procedures required
• Emergency Department physicians assist with procedures
• Tele-ICU manages drips and ventilators
• Supervising physician available by phone for case discussions

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage 0–3 medical admissions per night
• Handle 0–3 rehab and psychiatric consults per night
• Perform admissions, evaluations, and overnight patient management
• Collaborate with ED staff, nursing, and tele-ICU team
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active New Hampshire license (or ability to obtain)
• Board Certified
• BLS and ACLS preferred
