Locums Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Locums Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide coverage in a high-volume Level III NICU in Neptune City, NJ. This is a flexible locums opportunity ideal for providers comfortable working in a fast-paced neonatal setting alongside a collaborative team of attendings, residents, and APPs.

Compensation:  $120 Per Hour

Schedule

• Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Night Shift: 4:30 PM – 8:30 AM (16-hour shifts)
• Weekend Options: 12-hour or 24-hour shifts
• Coverage Needs: 6–8 shifts per month (gap coverage)
• Must be open to days, nights, and weekends (nights and weekends strongly preferred)
• Flexible scheduling based on provider availability

Practice Setting

• Level III NICU with high patient census
• Day coverage shared among APP + 3 residents + 4 attendings
• Night coverage shared between 2–3 providers
• Team-based, collaborative environment

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for neonatal patients in a Level III NICU
• Manage high-acuity neonatal cases
• Participate in rounding, admissions, and ongoing patient management
• Collaborate with neonatologists, residents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Extensive Level III NICU experience required
• Active New Jersey medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Board Certified
