Locums Non-Invasive Cardiologist Physician

We are seeking a Locums Non-Invasive Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in Richmond, VA. This role includes a mix of inpatient, outpatient, and call coverage, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Schedule

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• Call: Rotating night and weekend call
• Call Ratio: 1:6

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient, outpatient clinic, and call coverage
• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
• EMR: Epic

Patient Volume Clinic: ~10 patients per day

• Inpatient Admissions: 12–15 per physician per day

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide non-invasive cardiology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform and interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Manage complex cardiac patients, including those with advanced heart failure
• Participate in rounding, consults, and admissions
• Provide call coverage for nights and weekends on a rotating basis
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Active Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain)
• ACLS certification
• DEA license
• Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) Fellowship preferred
• LVAD (Ventricular Assist Device) experience required/certified
