Locums Cardiac Anesthesia Physician

A leading healthcare facility in Miami is seeking a Locums Cardiac Anesthesia Physician to provide coverage across multiple surgical service lines. This opportunity offers a high-volume, diverse case mix with consistent scheduling and the ability to work in a dynamic clinical environment.

 

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday with weekend rotation
• Shift Options:
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  (Shifts aligned with leaving order)
• Minimum Shifts: 20 shifts per month
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Weekend Requirements: Yes
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based

 

Case Mix

Majority Cases:

• Orthopedics
• General Surgery
• OB/GYN/GYO

Additional Cases:

• Urology
• GI / Endoscopy
• Cath Lab / CVL
• ENT
• Spine procedures

Cardiac Cases (Required Experience):

• CABG
• Valve procedures
• TAVR
• MitraClip
• LAA ligation
• Electrophysiology (EP)

 

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia across a wide range of surgical procedures
• Provide pre-operative assessments and post-anesthesia care
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure safety and comfort
• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, and perioperative teams
• Document all patient care in the EMR system

• Multi-site coverage with consistent case types and workflows

 

Requirements

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Active Florida Medical License
• DEA Certification
• ACLS and BLS Certifications
• Experience with cardiac anesthesia cases required
